Some objects can show us a view of not only the present but the past and the future as well. Certain objects display a variety of spectacular views consisting of the three dimensions: the Past, the Present and the Future. As we unfold, we observe and gain new insights into how our surroundings have evolved overtime through borrowing, adopting and recycling the Past into new forms.
As time passes, globalisation and our unique multi-racial culture affect our living standard, economy, mind-set and environment. Through these influence, our “home” is changing becoming progressively more modernise.
Even though familiar items may seem to be gone, the transformation was caused by the change from the old into new forms through a combination of new and diverse.
The aim of the project was to create various views of Singapore made from hand coloured and illustrated card. The decorative windows found on old architecture, also made from folded paper, will be the motif through which we view the scenes. These boxed-up scenes will then be mounted onto the façade of the old windows.
Each window will bring the audience to the past, present and the future. Visually, through the deco of the window it shows us as time passes the design of it changes, it became more modernize.
Architectures visually show to the world how individual country grow. An example will be comparing, third world country and Singapore building, by looking at their architectures it already show us. Instead of building the whole building, I picked on the key element.
