Farm/House proposes innovation in informality. 

 

By using very basic hydroponic systems (constructed largely using waste material), the project proposes to transform informal settlements into agricultural wonderlands. 

 

By mounting these systems to the walls & roofs of informal shacks, township communities will be able to cultivate their own food, enabling them to become partly self-sufficient. 

 

The 'green houses' will also provide ample biodiversity in an otherwise monocultural environment, encouraging the development of micro-ecologies and healthier, regenerative communities.
