Music album covers

I enjoy music a lot. So much so that I fantesize about what kind of music I would make if had the knowledge. I decided to move a small step forward by creating album covers for my made-up bands. To make it a challenge I chose to create bands in different genres, each entailing its own culture and aesthetic. I tried to pick up on specific traits that would make the artwork feel genuine.

For each band I created an album cover and a poster.
The Bystander is a singer-songwriter that creates mostly acoustic tracks, with a tinge of electronic instruments to create an eery, nostalgic soundscape. His lyrics are centered around a storyline and are heavily inspired by modern literature.

(Toned-down colors, ambiguos imagery, simple composition, unassuming presentation)
BASHER - is a DJ that drops the beat in clubs and on huge stadium stages. Everything is electronic with huge wattage output; as for instruments, at most you'll see a keyboard hooked up to his laptop. Up-tempo thrills and sick beats.

(Vibrant colors, high-contrast, contemporary imagery, unusual layout, large type)
Mappers are a rock band that pay tribute to their blues roots. Some tracks hard and fast, some soulful and afectionate. Six guys who aren't doing it for the fame and fortune. Tasteful guitar solos.

(B&W or wood tones, vintage photos, a sense of tradition and struggle)
For Mappers I went a step further and imagined the artwork on the CD, the CD case and a small inner booklet, all keeping with the style of the album cover.
