Happy As Larry is the brainchild of three Aussie mates worked tirelessly to create something that not only pushed the boundaries of the food truck but also stayed true to the heritage of the product — The humble pizza. With a vision to take pizza back to the streets where it originated and give Sydney-siders a taste of traditional (and accredited) Napoli style wood fired pizza, the concept for Happy as Larry was conceived. 
 
Certainly not your average ‘Food Truck’, this precisely engineered beast was created from a converted shipping container and constructed using recycled materials — and is equipped with a full commercial kitchen and a 2.2 tonne hand built wood fire oven imported from Naples.
 
The boys from Happy As Larry approached The Distillery in 2014 to create a visual identity that was both playful and elegant. A customised type treatment was created, that referenced Italian shop front signage, along with a ‘crest’ resembling the tools of the trade and the Napoli flag. The Distillery implemented this identity via stationery, and menus, and on the truck itself with neon signs and a hand sign painting by Lynes and Co.
