In one of my courses in the Advertising department at University of Texas at Austin, we were required to create quick works that documented our frame of mind during the course of the semester. It could be a quick observation or something that made us think twice. Our journals were used as one of the criteria for entrance into Texas Creative Program, a portfolio program designed specifically for those wishing to enter the creative realm of advertising.
