"There was an opening, the carpet was squishy"

There was a brief time in London's history when artists didn't want to be marketable. Gallery House was the place they went to experiment with all the art forms we now put inside that monstruous box called 'contemporary art'. During 2014 a group of MA students of Central Saint Martins created a research group to study the history of this gallery. The first result of our research was an exhibition presented at John Latham's former home and archive, Flat Time House, and a publication. I designed the publication aiming at bringing back both the feeling of the publications of the 70s and also the group's own experience of finding these in a series of archives (the packaging is an archival folder, silkscreened). We made an edition of 100 copies, now sold out.
