This is a gift for my sister-in-law and her husband for their one year anniversary. She's a HUGE Disney fan, having numerous Disney references in their wedding and even a hand-scultped set of chairs from Pixar's UP for the cake topper. For the image I started with a screenshot from the movie and a sketch of the couple in a similar style. You can find several references to their lives implemented into the scene. The painting above the mantle has been updated to reflect their time in Barcelona and the many visits to the Gaudi estate. The sonogram and small shoes came about after I started the painting when they found out that not only they were pregnant but also expecting twins! And last, of course, is a hidden Mickey Mouse. Can you spot it?
