The Pune Heritage Walk is organised by the Pune Municipal Corporation and Janwani – a NGO which upholds citizens rights and development in Pune City. This guided 2.5 km. multi-themed walk starts from the PMC main building and extends into the core city area of Old Pune where a majority of heritage sites are clustered. Participants are given information brochures which includes a map of the route and snippets about the story of Pune.
The Pune Heritage Walk Souvenir Booklet is a keepsake full-color paperback given for free to all participants of the Walk. The book features articles and photos of each site, plus an illustrated timeline and route map based on historically significant incidents. It also functions as a kind of activity book for people to make notes or sketch ideas.

The map helps participants locate the sites as well as displays the order in which sites appear in the booklet.

This interesting infographic plots the important events in Pune's history on a timeline and is adorned with illustrations of various historical structures that form an integral part of the walk. (Line Art by Chetan Nehete)
The newly printed booklets are getting a lot of positive feedback from participants. People love how the map indicates the order of the heritage sites during the walk and in the book. Brightly coloured illustrations give room for imagination while anchoring the text. The shape and size of the booklet allow for it to be carried easily.
