Each year at the NSCA's National Conference, the Association hosts several social events for networking opportunities. The First Timers Orientation is a new event that is geared toward teaching first-time attendees how to get the most out of their conference experience. It ranges in ages, genders and professions and needs to have a neutral appeal in that regard, but build excitement for the event.
Since the First Timers Orientation appeals to a wide audience group, I made the design very neutral, but built excitement by using typography to highlight the benefits of attending. I played off of a letterpress printing style with the blocks of type and used lines and light and dark color shades to create hierarchy. The back needed to show the NSCA's regional map as this is how attendees will be grouped at the event. I used colors from the conference branding palette.
