mixed media collage on canvas
I use diverse materials such as fabric, found and altered papers, magazine clippings, three-dimensional objects, and oil paint to create heavily layered mixed media collages. I am currently exploring issues involving the current socio-economic climate, the effects of reckless consumerism, and the industries of fashion, beauty, and advertising on the collective and individual identity.
