I transfered the pictures that I took over a helicopter ride over looking the Detroit waterfront into an Acrylic plastic. following the tranfer I melted the plastic using a heat gun at 1200 Degree. then I created a black box as a platform for the presentation...
vacant area on the waterfront, some are polluted parks which are off limit to the public. at 4PM on a Saturday, I would be the only person walking around.. so unreal a gost waterfront
The front of box had the same tranfer photography technic.. I wanted to recreate a liquid atmosphere/aquarium effect....
This is Plastic or acrylic.. everything was done using the heatgum... I just love molding ,banding twisting the medium.. one has to know when to stop before the medium turns liquid or black
in these pictures, I use the 2D site to create a 3D model over it.. Pay attention to the small wired sturstures.. the White Treads are used and attached to the ceiling, to keep the prospective in order..
2013 Flying over Detroit to understand the site... I took many picture... this is one of the most beautiful city.. after this ride, I fell in love with the city
Most of these site are vacant, polluted....... a watherfront? not even a Haiti this can happen, because the fisherman would be at work, try to make a living

I made the site the day of the presentation at cranbrook.. it took me one hour.... technicaly i coverded the peace of wood with a mixture of wet plaster and concrete powder and carved out the river shape and Bela Island, the red dots with strings are connected to the ceiling were I had pictures taken at various part of the water front
If could take a helicopter ride from Zug Island to Bella Island, the 9.7 miles which i have documented by air, car or walk, you would understand the scope of this absurdity

I wanted the very best for Detroit, nothing like NYC.. so the next step I took several flitghts in search for my Pot Pourrie: Dubai, Doha, Istanbul, Athena, Hydras, Poros, Aegina and Miami/Fisher Island.. In Dubai, I was supposed to take an Helicopter ride from Dubai to Abu Dhabi to see and read the drastic costline.. I wanted the read the shape of the city.. to the Ferrari World etc. when I arrived at the private airport the flight could not take off due to a sand storm.. I went crazy.. what is that? I came from Detroit just to see that......
My classmate Dorothe donated these small concrete block, she had made a variety of them.. using food colloring in concrete they are all hand made
I went to the auction for the city of Puntiac in octorber and I saw it, and hear it from the speaker... for $250,000 you could buy 181 properies and land.. this is the first time I heard of "bet in a bundle" no one got it... on one wanted to make the investment.. I almost pass out.. mixed emotions......

I invited too of my classmate for the ride, Jesse and Ike.. there is always an advantage in inviting others into your project, they took some pictures as well and at the end I had 3 prospective of Detroit. I went: it helps when one is not selfish.. I just hate selfish people
Yes this is Detroit MI... so beautiful in that area.. Did you know that you could today in 2015 buy a lot in the City of Pontiac for 250$ us currency? less than a designer jeans.... 60feet by 160ft, just call the city hall of Puntiac and ask for the list of surplus or just go to the auction in Octorber, you just need to sign up at the city hall
