    CityLife is the redevelopment of the historic district of the Fair, in Milan, designed by the "archistars": Arata Isozaki, Daniel Libeskind and Zaha Hadid. After moving a large part of the exhibition center in the new Fieramilano Rho-Pero, the liberated area - equivalent to an area of approximately 255,000 m² - was the subject of an international competition won in July 2004 by CityLife, a consortium of Generali Properties SpA, RAS Group SpA Progestim (Fondiaria-SAI), Lamaro contracts S.p.A. and Grupo Lar. Following the award of the tender was incorporated CityLife, a company now controlled by the Generali Group and owned by Allianz. The realization of the project, launched in 2004, began in 2007.
