Project365: Lake Oroville Complex (6/29/15 - 7/5/15)

This week's theme, "Lake Oroville Complex," is about the reservoirs in Butte County created in the 1960s as part of the CA State Water Project.  Lake Oroville, Thermalito Diversion Pool, Thermalito Forebay, and Thermalito Afterbay serve as a flood control, recreation, and a water resource.

Day 740 [6-29-15] "Floating in Color" - Enjoying peaceful, afternoon fishing on the Thermalito Afterbay in Oroville, CA.
Day 741 [6-30-15] "Limited Parking" - Boats crowd the marina as the water level drops.  Lake Oroville, CA is nearly 200ft below full capacity.
Day 742 [7-1-15] "Ascension" - The shoreline rises as the 2015 drought continues to take its toll. Lake Oroville, CA is nearly 200ft below full capacity.
Day 743 [7-2-15] "Awakening Clouds" - A storm brews over the Thermalito Forebay in Oroville, CA.
Day 744 [7-3-15] "Pre-4th of July" - Houseboats line up early for the 4th of July fireworks show on Lake Oroville, CA.  There is a bit less space for boating this year with water levels nearly 200ft below full capacity.
Day 745 [7-4-15] "Sparkling Water" - The Thermalito Power Canal in Oroville, CA.
Day 746 [7-5-15] "Exposed History" - It's interesting to see what the receding waters reveal.  I suppose these are abandoned water intakes at Lake Oroville, CA.
