Baroque stylised inlaid table
The goal of this project was to design and to realise the inlaid baroque stylised table.
The idea, shapes and graphic motives were inspired by an original dining baroque table.
At the beginning the 4 table tops were designed, and only one was chosen to work on. Then the whole table was designed. As it was to be stylised table, so the old technics and technologies had to be preserved: traditional wood technics, joineries, bone glue, thick inlay, traditional different species of wood, French Polish (shellac).
To better study the shapes and proporciones of the piece of furniture, the 3d visualisation was made, as well as real scaled Balsa Wood model (1:5).
