Bellevue Beach (Danish: Bellevue Strand) is one of the most popular beaches in the Northern Suburbs of Copenhagen and a Danish design classic. Designed in the 1930s by the famous Danish architect Arne Jacobsen as one of his first commissions, Bellevue’s concept is a total work of art. The architect designed everything from lifeguard towers, changing rooms and kiosks to tickets and uniforms for the staff. Right next to Bellevue Strand there are the Jacobsen-designed Bellavista apartment buildings, a restaurant and the Bellevue Theatre.
