Today, due to hectic schedules and busy lifestyles, we are forgetting the very essence of our lives. The things that matter the most to us are getting lost somewhere. We are getting detached from our roots. Language endangerment is one such problem. More and more people are joining the league of a generation that cannot read and write its mother tongue...
GURMUKHI is the name of the script used in writing primarily Punjabi and, secondarily, Sindhi language. This project contains the design innovation step that I suggested for my research paper on the revival of Gurmukhi, a script that is loosing its importance, usage and future prospects.
The suggested materials for promotion and revival focused on two main target audience groups: Kids and Adults. For kids, a set of alphabet cards, charts, join the dot book and stroke style book was re-/designed. Also, a mobile application was designed for kids and adults both. The app was designed to teach, educate, promote and make the learning of Gurmukhi easy for people who believe in education "ON-THE-GO"
