Rather than accurately simulating minigolf itself, the objective of the project was to produce a funny arcade cabinet that simulated the simple golf simulators that I encountered in my childhood. In GolfNet Online 3.0 the player hits the in-game ball by striking a real life giant-mini-golf-ball with a real golf club. I made the graphics for GolfNet Online 3.0 using the original pattern set from MacPaint. Using these monochrome patterns exclusively was an excellent design constraint which made the process of constructing the game a lot of fun.
