Project Summary:
Create a mark that combines photography and a representation of the subject matter being photographed (predominantly infants). In addition, the type treatment should be playful but professional.
In this industry there's still room to play with typical motifs and imagery. The baby carriage shape allowed for a few camera details such as the shutter, flash sync (little circle on left) and flash element (rounded square on the right) to be added naturally with negative space. The benefit is that the artwork can reduce comfortably across mediums.
The word mark chosen is a modified version of Sudtipos's Candy Script and Neutra fonts.
Color:
The PMS color 382 C and mid grey were chosen as a neutral color rather than something like blue or pink.
Font:
The identity typefaces are Candy Script and Neutraface. Candy Script was a fun font with a large amount of glyph options. Neutraface was chosen to represent the companionship to Amie Chou Foto, the client's other business.
