OFF THE BEATEN TRACK
A digital illustration based on the backlit paper cut design I created to celebrate the Land Rover Defender as it prepares to be re-designed. The animated GIF below shows how the image builds up in 18 layers.

DESIGN PROCESS
Each layer of texture for this artwork was created by printing off the layer shape, shading it with a pastel and then scanning it back into the computer. I then used the image trace function in illustrator to vectorise it before finally recolouring to fit it's layer.
