My Journey To Hell -- Part 1

This is Part 1 of 5.
This is a pictorial journey through some of the most rugged and beautiful terrain to be found in the pacific northwest.  I was on a fine art photography quest to Hell's Canyon and the Seven Devils mountain peaks.  The Snake river, which carved Hell's canyon, is the dividing line between Oregon and Idaho, and is the deepest canyon in North America.  So, strap on your boots and bring plenty of water......if you want to survive Hell with me !     (All of the photographs in this series and the additional parts will be presented in the order that they were taken .)
Mountain Lupine on a bed of rock
Starvation Ridge
About 50 miles from Hell's Canyon
Chief Joseph Creek
Eagle Cap Wilderness
This photo appears out of place, but I had to drive by this incredible mountain range to get to the Canyon of Hell.  I guess heaven is watching over hell.!
Dead Horse Canyon
The atmospheric gods in turmoil
Imnaha Creek Canyon
Grizzly Ridge
Red gems......or hints of the fire to come.
Thanks for stopping by.
