A goal of the project was to create a visual narrative based on a selected painting and contemporary setting. My video is a poetic interpretation of "De Gevangenpoort en de Plaats te Den Haag" by Pieter Daniel van der Burgh, showing intermingling of two realities over time. Prepared for the Visual Communication Design elective course at TU Delft.
Interactive Video With Choice
Our concept was inspired by the idea of interactive storytelling. In the project, decisions made in the storyline are based on where people are looking at, sometime these choices are unconscious. We combined immersive features of virtual reality with interactive storytelling to achieve this goal. Project was made in Unity for Oculus Rift. Team members: Donna Schipper, Lise Stork.
The Color of ≠
How to arouse a feeling of being unequal? Our aim was to stimulate thinking about this issue and to disturb expectations that life should be always fair. To achieve this goal, it was very clear from the beginning that we want to create an experience where visitors of the expo could feel unequal in a way that it is not too obvious from the beginning, but they will notice during the experience. Our goal was to create awareness, however without being moralizing. We found a playful way of communicating our concept: via pong game and coloful projection that grows over time. Seven Miles Boots
Project for the New Media & New Technologies course, made with Open Frameworks and Arduino.
How would it feel to use the seven miles boots today? Our goal was to create an installation that approximate this feeling. Tangible with real boots that create an interaction with the satellite image of the earth projected on the floor. Team member: Sander de Bont.
