“Vanquish lounge has the aristocratic vibe of a regal hotel lobby, boasts a VIP section within the VIP section, and a large mural by local graphic artist depicting the visual paradox of a fierce tiger alongside an alluring woman. Underscoring this brand of lavishness is the Vanquish logo, a playful riff on the Louis Vuitton pattern, backlit onto lustrous white alabaster surfaces. To impart “the feel of a Gucci boutique,” Daniels incorporated rich materials like dark Wenge wood columns, lush Giallo Siena yellow marble, and dramatic black chandeliers set inside chrome drums. At the next-door nightclub Reign, “It’s all about voyeuristic, custom, metallic-leather VIP booths and highly reflective surfaces, chrome speakers and chrome columns, and a Zaha Hadid-inspired DJ booth that summon attention” says Daniels.
