Mezzopieno for Ceramica Flaminia

The concept started from the analyses of Brazilians and their relationship with water. Even though, Brazil has one of the biggest water reserve in the world, nowadays big metropolis of the country are suffering with the shortage of cleaning water. This concern increases more if we think worldwide scale, with the desert areas and its populations all over the world.
Thinking about that, the project was based in the theory of the cup half empty or half full to illustrate that contrast. Developing the idea, I imagined what if the feeling of fullness could be incorporated into something that in the reality is half empty, which is the situation of the water source in the world these days.
Because of that, the sink was designed in the external part with a big and full shape but in the internal part really shallow that cannot contain a lot of volume.
