When new owners took over this luxury resort in the Maldives, we were asked to developed an entirely new brand identity and system based on the name Gili Lankanfushi.
The next six months were spent developing the brand identity, design and art direction of their marketing collaterals, and its brand photography style for the six-star resort in the Maldives.
Advocating sustainable luxury, the island resort has its own water treatment facility and organic vegetable farm which supplies most of its kitchen’s produce.
Inspired by the sights and textures around the resort, we developed a set of secondary graphics to add interest and depth to the collaterals. Keeping to warm and earthy hues, we also retained the star as an integral part of the logo as the starfish is a recurring motif throughout the grounds.
The photography bank.
Preferring a honest, see-it-as-it-is photography style that would reflect the resort’s sustainable ethos, most of the shots were taken in natural light without extensive art direction, production planning and crew. Photos were eventually compiled into a visual diary which guests can keep as a memento of their stay.
