2014 Dasein's Graduation Ceremony Design Project

"孟子曰：尽其心者，知其性也。知其性，则知天矣。存其心，养其性，所以事天也。"

It means as a learner, we must always explore our mind, show our sincerity in thinking or creating, then we will know where we are and understand the laws of the world. Therefore we can grasp those real, express those kinds and achieve the realm of beauty.

"忢(wù), 忞(mín), 怂(sǒng), 恳(kěn), 悥(yì), 恴(dé)"

There are 6 different Chinese character that contain the word of "heart" which have been applied on the
promotional items.

The purpose of doing this is to remind the graduates that:

“Attitude is all in the mind but the desire and passion to follow through originates
from the heart.”

The art direction for this project is based on the combination mainly in Baba Nyonya with minimum Shang Hai Style. This is to bring out the multicultural in Malaysia.

To show the sincerity, all the things were fully hand crafted by us. The great effort of crafting the logo and the illustrations from the team was greatly appreciated.

Lastly, the trophy for the outstanding award was specially made based on the concept of “烾"(chì) 同"赤" meaning "passion" in English. Each of the trophies might look slightly different based on the firing process. And this is to stress the uniqueness of each individual.
