The Working Dressing Room

The Working Warehouse (Oblačilnica dela) is a social enterprise which employs people with difficulty finding their jobs. The store is selling second-hand and reused clothes and acessories made by young Slovenian designers.
We (me, the visual communication designer and Maja Bevc, the architect) have had one month to establish a space out of used furniture and clothes. Through two workshops and working events that included the participation of local people, artisans, volunteers, friends, co-workers, designers and architects and a colaboration with CPU - Reuse Center in Rogaška Slatina - we created a self-supplying sustainable store that shows good and simple examples of reused pieces to the visitors. The furniture is flexible so the store can be trasformed into a workshop or a fashion show place. The visual communication tools are simple, sustainable and minimized to the essential needs.
