Under the sea - 2015
Good Day to you viewer
This is an update of my student demoreel 2013 underwater theme, I was asked to do it by a friend and decided to go beyond my artistic displeasure at broadcasting incomplete work. Not to mention I am applying for jobs so I will have to show what I can do.

I did a whale in two days and used the short amount of free time I had yesterday to do a retexturing of a squid which was a project on hold. This is an update of my 2015 student demoreel and now I will post by theme not by year.
As always I am open to constructive feedback and trolling as long as it is done politely.

Hope you enjoy it.
Jerome
New addition to the underwater life in my folio, a whale, soon to be updated to its animated version when I get the time.
The model is 11.000 polygons for animation purposes the front area effect is done mostly with texture see bellow the version without lighting effects in EON Raptor (EON Reality render engine) to see the full animal (and no they are not blue outside the water therefore mine either)
Perhaps I went a bit berserker on the aging process but I like the result
After completing my course my teacher advised me to retexture the animals of my underwater scene for that most had theirs quickly made, here is the new version with addition of elements and focus on the aesthetic rather than the technical approach. Mostly the same scene with my prefered lighting settings and composition.
Architeuthis dux, the giant squid
Retextured and optimised down to 22.000 polygons, soon to be added to the scene above to replace the outdated squid,
This colour was chosen simply because I liked it better and mostly because they are grey when not anoyed or dead, not red; like the blue whale; it is not blue it is grey.
And lets be honest, it just looked better with the grey version (if requested I shall put the red one).
A little work of texturing a fish common where I use to live
And another one who like the whale is still a work in progress (UV mostly)
The latest of the family, a salmon, I am working on Improving the fins and backspine at the moment. A 1900 polygons (3800 triangles) model, rigged and animated. Textures being 1024x1024 (to be more friendly towards mobile applications)
