Something from Nothing

This sketchbook is personality, process, and progress of communication. Inspired by the book Graphic by Steven Heller & Lita Talarico , as well as concepts brought forth in an essay written over the idea of visual analogy, and driven by a sentence created from a word prompt exercise “Personal understanding leads to success I began decipher a connection between the seemingly dissimilar things. The sketchbook should provide an inside look at my personal process and the individuality of the path my thoughts take to reach a solution. As I worked through the piece I let the process create the piece. I used the same ideas I had derived to discover and lead me to what would be the end product. I chose to do a cut paper kirigami piece to act as a visual representation of my personal process, the steps of the design like the steps my process took. While all the steps seem random they are ultimately connected by a bigger picture, All the chaos of my mind becoming organized and clear by the end of the piece.
