The Hesperia Areatza Hotel in located in a privileged natural environment of Gorbea’s Natural Park, right next to the Sacramentinos park, surrounded by the Arratia river, and on the outer limits of Areatza’s historical old town.
The Hotel includes 67 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, and a spa center. It provides for a longed need for lodging in the Arratia valley while it recovers the spirit and nature of the old spa resort located in the same lot at the beginning of the twentieth century.
The building, raised over the old seminar, does not pretend to outstand over its surrounding natural and built environment; therefore, it consists on a rather simple architecture which appears to have long existed. Its access takes place laterally, through a basement level, partly under ground, where the restaurant, bar, and a few rooms are located. On a second level basement, we find the spa area, as well as the kitchen, while all other rooms are located along the three stories over the entrance level.
