Logos
A few portfolio examples of different types of logos, including: abstract logo, emblem, & word mark.
The abstract logo is for Cellan Global Securities, a company that helps small business succeed by giving them loans and mentoring them through marketing. The logo concept takes the big blue square (Cellan)  and the small gray square (small business) and brings them together with the orange tower. The shape gives a hint of stair steps to opportunity.
The final logo, Sweet Swatch, is an example of a word mark. This company is the only catering company that customizes colored candy for any event. You give them a pantone swatch and all the sweets at your event will be that customized color. The concept for this logo was to make it feel sweet without the use of illustration or a script font, but also feel like a swatch of solid color. The fonts chosen emulated the desired result, sweet and swatchy.
The emblem logo is for a Satchel company that recycles your old materials such as a couch, a tire, clothing, etc. and converts them into a stylish satchel. The company's name is Resatchel and the concept for the emblem was to reuse the letters, so the R is also the L, the S was twisted into an A, etc. and make a stylish new mark. The lines around the word give the feel of the recycling arrows but more subtle. I also wanted it appear in a rectangular form just a satchel would.
The Teton Flood Museum is a historical landmark in Rexburg, Idaho. The silhouette mimicks the shape of the roof of the historical building. The color and style help create a historical feel.
