From Window to Table

I found this old green window at a salvage yard in Berkeley, CA.
The window was not in great shape, but had so much potential!
I began power sanding the paint off, however, three layers of paint was going to require a new process of removal
 Chemical removal!!
I applied the epoxy to the paint surface and it bubbled off of the wood and was now ready to be scraped away
Scraping off the stubborn paint became a whole lot easier and didn't damage the wood underneath
Stripping the paint off presented a nice wood texture underneath
Once the majority of the paint was removed, I still needed to do some detailing around the window panes, which I accomplished with my Dremel tool
The legs are made out of 4"x3/4" Oak
This is the finished product in Brandon and Caitlin's living room
Recycled steel angle brackets add an antique character to the table
Recycled hinges attach the legs to the table top and allow for the table to compact down to 4" laying flat for easier traveling needs
A built in magazine rack preserves table space for immediate use
