Leavers Celebration: 50mm

The shots in this post were taken throughout the Leavers Day Celebrations for Year 11 students at my school on the 26th June.  I had a Year 11 form, who I had seen through from Year 9- they were fab.  Aside from embarrassing them in a small presentation, I didn`t get to spend as much time with them as I would have liked- but I wish them all the best for the future.

Like with most of my shots of late- I can`t pull myself away from the 50mm lens.  I love the shots with a shallow depth of field- and never stray over f2- which allows you to get some lovely softness to your shots and tiny areas of focus.  I managed to get through the day without using flash- which was a little tricky with the lighting in the theatre...

I tried to capture the essence and flow of the day in the shots I took so the students have images to remember the day in years to come... thanks for looking
