TREPY - playgrounds to fight child obesity

Industrial Design
TREPY
Mexico's been recently ranked as the number one country with child obesity over the world. In Monterrey, the third most important city in the country, the number of obesity in children has increased dramatically.
TREPY is a modular playground based on a single element made in steel tube with nylon rope, where depending the surface and budget assigned to the park, different types of settings and games can be created. All of the different arrangements are focused in proper excercises to keep child's body in shape, taking in consideration concepts such as competence, risk and motivation to encourage children to do physical activities outdoors.
This project was created in collaboration with Nadia Garcia, Claudia Pohls and Jose Manuel Escarcega (industrial designers) as a bachellor thesis for the University of Monterrey (Mexico).
