Artist branding, concept and art direction for Swedish artist Loney Dear’s album ”Chapters” (2014).
The concept is based on the album’s Scandinavian folklore sound.
The full album is exclusively released on vinyl, but separately track by track. Each track is released in its own vinyl pop-up case reflec- ting the theme of each song.
”Chapters” invites the listener to Loney Dear’s universe: a dark, mysterious forest filled with musical animals – hybrids between fo- rest animals and instruments.
The branding consists of:
– Musical animals (10 animals, one for each track).
– Pop-up vinyl case.
– Praxinoscope – Limited edition for fans to enjoy the full ”Chapters” experience.
– PR-box containing a music box with a sample of the album ”Chapters” – a unique way of listening.
