Avista Interpretive sign

I was commissioned to illustrate points for an interpretive sign. Avista uses wind turbines for some of their power in eastern Washington. They wanted a sign that demonstrated just how large these wind turbines actually are.  Here are 4 examples I created: a blade is as long as 10 cars parked end-to-end; a wind turbine is as tall as a 38 story building; the blade diameter is the size of an entire baseball field; a full-sized schoolbus could fit inside the nacelle (the motor housing); The concrete base weighs as much as a Boeing 737.
