Architecture In Light

by Amy Deane
This is a collection of laser cut lampshade designs. It was brought together for a University textile project based around the theme of architecture. My theme for the project is based on the old and new architecture of Manchester. My aim was to combine the contrasting concepts of windows within the buildings I came across, it is a fusion of the colours and forms I found in the stained glass windows of the Cathedral with the colourless, geometric forms of the modern buildings that sit along side the Cathedral.
