While president of Silver Airways, David (Dave) Pflieger leads a Ft. Lauderdale firm that has nearly 900 employees and operates 130 flights spanning the Unites States’ South and Mid-Atlantic regions, as well as the Bahamas. In January 2015, the company announced the launch of daily nonstop flights from St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport to Key West and Fort Lauderdale. This represents the 11th airport serviced by Silver Airways in the Sunshine State alone. 

 

The St. Pete-Clearwater to Fort Lauderdale route is twice a day while the connection to Key West is on a once-a-day schedule. These new services are designed to offer Jacksonville commuters convenient connections and give travelers to Bahamas destinations a seamless travel experience. The flights are also part of a Silver Airways’ strategy of increasing intrastate connectivity and bringing new travel options to vacation and corporate travelers in Florida’s southernmost city, Key West. As an introductory special, initial fares have been set at only $69 one-way.
