In my Advanced Digital Illustration class, our project was to create three spreads that had the same theme & could be put in the same market. You were able to be broad with the idea, such as creating book covers, social awareness posters, or fine art pieces with a correlating theme.
For my project, considering that I am interested in the children's book market, I decided to create three spreads for a book I would write & illustrate called "Andy." The book follows a girl who has a demon that lives with her named Andy. Andy is a manifestation of her anxiety & depression, hence the nickname. I wanted to incorporate the ideal of a storybook made speicifically for children while also tackling in "simple terms" what it's like to have anxiety & depression at once.
