In today's fast paced environment and often shorter attention span of the connected member of the consumerist American society, the realization of the amount of time can be skewed towards the instant satisfaction of desires. Exposing the conflict of the amount of time crude oil takes to form in nature in the context of a human lifespan was the intent of this appropriation video. The interpretation of how this new knowledge will influence the audience's future is up to the individual.

The found poster (from the side of a country road) was not physically altered but rather projected on to highlight the temporary nature of humans comparative to the lasting affect our current consumption mindsets are in, particularly of natural resources that are limited. Trying to expose the sense of disconnection between what our personal perceived reality (the poster, our mindset of instant need satisfaction) and the reality during the moment (the projection, conflict of time to create). Essentially the conflict of time to produce and consume.
