Epileptic Memory Study
Senior Project

My senior work, which includes both snapshots from my everyday life as well as my photographs, is intended to be a tool of change to bring peoples attention to and help
them understand epilepsy and its struggles. It is not a medical diagram or lesson, rather       a personal view of how epilepsy has effected me. It is a view into the mind of an epileptic person.

Through my work you will begin to understand the battle going on inside me. My mind is a large puzzle with all the pieces of my intact memories, my damaged memories, and even lost memories jumbled and floating in limbo. I am challenging you to put them back together piece by piece as I do. By attempting this task, my hope is that you will gain a better understanding of how difficult memory damage can be to cope with for an epileptic.

By laying out my memories and experiences as I see them, I am inviting the
viewer to look into a window of my mind.
The brain puzzle as presented in the gallery. It is left only partially complete to influence viewers to participate in putting it together.
