A self-initiated project.

Audre, a non-profit organization named after the black, lesbian feminist Audre Lorde, aims to inspire and encourage the audience to become ‘active’ third-wave feminists. A three-stage communication strategy enables the audience to transition from passive to active. First, the learning stage, which is achieved through a series of zines that contextualize feminism through the prisms of work, sport and culture. Second, the discussion stage, whereby the audience are encouraged to discuss and debate the zine articles online. Thirdly, the acting stage, where having gained a solid knowledge of feminist issue the audience are encouraged to use materials provided in the pack to act upon the issues discussed. The accompanying brand identity for Audre becomes increasingly bolder with a greater DIY aesthetic to illustrate the passion and involvement of the audience towards the latter stages.
