“ A life isn’t only about what you accomplished.
It’s also about what you desired.
What you dreamed.
What was in your head ”
Paul Theroux

So much of life is unseen, internal, and reflective or what we often call daydreaming. Waiting may seem arbitrary, an inconvenience or a waste of time, but often the time spent “waiting” is for a purpose. So we wait for love, when we are sick we wait for health to return, we wait for transport to take us to a special place, we even wait for understanding. Waiting is often emotional. Everyone waits. Everyone remembers waiting.

These instax photographs were made in response to an anonymous collection of stories about waiting. They seek to evoke the memories and unspoken emotions of an activity that hardly registers on our conscious mind, searching to reveal the implied, the forgotten, the fleeting moment.
