This portfolio series captures the essence of my early career, a time when my primary focus was finding my artistic path and exploring diverse visual styles. Combining my passion for photography with hand-drawn typography, I embarked on a creative journey that allowed me to express myself freely. Looking back, I admit that some of the phrases might seem naive, but they were an honest representation of the spur-of-the-moment thoughts that flowed through my mind.
During this phase, I found solace in a loose, hand-drawn approach to typography. By not getting overly concerned with letterform fundamentals, I could embrace a more carefree and unstructured style. Each image within this collection was personally captured during my various travel adventures across Australia, infusing the series with a sense of wanderlust and discovery.
For me, the main priority of this project was self-expression, an opportunity to convey my emotions and ideas through a fusion of photography and typography. These images represent a pivotal moment in my creative evolution, where I navigated the early stages of my career and set the foundation for future artistic endeavours.
