For this brief I was asked to use only typography to create an A1 poster which presented 20 scenes from Earth, 20 songs and 20 sounds. 

This would be a poster that could be sent in the ‘Voyager space craft’, similar to the Voyager Golden Record to present a message about Earth to any intelligent extraterrestrial life. 

I firstly started by looking at my interest in travelling and experiencing a variety of Cities in the world. However this was a bit to broad and did not communicate a clear message. So I started researching into many different Cities and their similarities and differences. This lead me to find an article about the most business influential cities in the world, which I thought could clearly communicate a message about the varieties of cities throughout the world. 

My final posters shows the 10 most business influential cities in the world. Each city is roughly positioned where it is on the map and the most influential city is presented with the biggest type and then it goes down in size corresponding to the number. I decided to put the type as centred lists rather than in a square, as the square format gave it no purpose and made it too formal and strict. I also decided to make certain lines bigger than others as the are important lines and to make it specifically clear what city it was. I gave it a blue background to represent the sea but I decided to choose a slightly darker blue as it a connotation to business. I think the message is presented clearly and the type variation makes it eye catching.
