BRIEF
A rebrand and thank you kit for major kickstarter backers, as well as a single page website to find events and more information about the experimental art installation, Music of the Spheres.
APPROACH
I chose a pastel color scheme to emulate the colors of the bubbles paired with a restrained gridded layout to reference the DNA sequencing and the complex science behind this installation. The music & bubble machine was created to succinctly get at the idea of the pairing music and bubbles, and provides a takeaway for lovers of the exhibit.
The website uses a DNA bubble graphic that directly relates to the exhibit, and provides an interactive element to increase engagement. If hovered over, that DNA graphic would act as a harp, playing different notes as they are moused over.
Each thank you package would come with a custom-made bubble machine music box. The music box/bubble machine would work by turning the white dial with your finger to simulatneously produce music & bubbles. A flywheel would drive a small fan to blow bubbles, while an internal music box system would be integrated into the drive shaft. In this way, the rate of bubble production and the tempo of the song would be directly connected.
