Mister K Crossout
by Julia Sysmäläinen
On the basic level Mister K Crossout is similar to Mister K Regular, but it is somewhat more difficult to read due to heavy its crossing out. Non the less, especially curious readers will still be able to decifer ‘Crossout’ texts. These get fully unreadable only when the ‘Contextual Alternates’ feature is turned on – and the crossout effect is used over and over again.
Experts suggest using the Mister K Crossout style sparsely as a teaser to enhance people’s inquisitiveness. But all kinds of experiments are welcome.
Mister K family members received a Certificate of Typographic Excellence at the Moscow Modern Cyrillic Competition, an ISTD Premier Award in London and a TDC Award at the New York Type Directors Club Typeface Design Competition.
