A new twist on a classic painting. The figures in the original American Gothic painting depict the traditional roles of men and women. This new rendition of the painting portrays two lesbian women engaging both the male and female roles. Utilizing a collage style pushes the idea that marriage can be achieved in many different ways compared to the traditional views that once were thought must be met in order to be considered marriage.
