Created for a science museum, this environmental treatment using hanging banners also functions as an interactive exhibit demonstrating anamorphic optical illusions and perspective geometries. Four banners hang from the ceiling rafters, positioned at various distances and angles. When standing on the mezzanine at a specific viewpoint, the complete image comes together and can be seen in its entirety. From other locations throughout the museum the individual banners may be seen as obscure or abstract designs, but encourage curiosity and pique visitors’ intrigue to discover the bigger picture.
