Shadows and Reflections
This started out as a look at my leftovers from various photo shoots, photo walks, and random days with my camera in Washington DC. It quickly became apparent that there is something in the idea of capturing objects as naturally as possible from the frame of reference of another object instead of a human being. I wanted to be less and less part of creating the picture and more observing from a through a mirror or darkened glass. I wanted to hide behind a shroud of anti-dimensionality. I wanted to be absorbed into the scene as ink to a page.
