Egyptian feature films from the past 7 decades have generated a large amount of opening title sequences that are worth remembering. Title sequences set the tone of the movies and are a clear indicator of the visual culture and graphic trends of the time. the aim of this project is to create a mobile application that will allow users to create their own Egyptian-inspired title sequences in video format.
The applaication allows the user to choose the year and the genre of the title sequence he/she wants to produce. The user can also upload his own pictures, actor’s name, and film name. This project aims to entertain, play with stereotypes, and to educate at the same time. It will introduce people to the wide culture of Egyptian movies from the 40’s until the 2000’s in a humorous tone.
